About Para Casa

Para Casa began with a broken steam wand and a deeply unhelpful phone call. In 2019, one of our founders queued twice at a department store to be told that her eight-month-old espresso machine wasn't covered, because it had reached the UK through a reseller with no proper local warranty. The machine itself was fine. The paperwork behind it wasn't, and nobody seemed able — or willing — to fix that.

So we started sourcing directly from manufacturers instead of relying on third-party importers. Every machine that reaches you now carries its original registration card and a UK support line that actually picks up. We test each model in our own kitchens for weeks before it ever reaches the shop floor, checking grind consistency, steam pressure and noise levels against the manufacturer's own specification. Every espresso machine still ships with a starter descaling kit, a water filter, and a free call with a barista who can walk you through your first proper shot.

We're a small team, which means we still answer the phone ourselves most mornings, and we still won't list a machine we wouldn't happily use in our own kitchens at home.
